So there is the official plan this week.  Going to get all my coursework done so that next week I can have a fantastic time!  I don’t want to be worrying about homework my last weeks here.
2 more papers to write.  Shouldn’t be too hard if I stick to it.

I’m getting rather sad I have to leave England.  I really love it here.  And I really love all the people I’ve met.

I wrote this last week but haven’t gotten around to posting it.  SORRY!
Last Wednesday for my birthday the girls took me to Wetherspoons (which is a really cheap pub chain) and we met Laen and Owen.  They were playing the quiz machines and asked if we were American and if we could help them with their quizzes because the questions seemed to be American based.  So we played a few rounds and they were really impressed.  It was mostly pop culture and I can’t tell you anything when it comes to movies, television, books, etc, so I wasn’t very helpful.  I did answer the questions of what the Maori word for New Zealand is and what country did King Tut rule over.  Easy for me.
But anyways, Laon invited us to a pub quiz with him on Monday at a pub down the road from Witherspoons.  Caitlin got directions for it and we ended up walking around for half an hour or more all over south of Angel.  Next time I’m getting directions!
So we end up at the pub quiz and Laen has alreayd bought us all a pint of cider and paid the pound for each of us to enter.  That was very sweet of him. There were four or five teams.  After a political discussion, Laen decided our team name would be Biden Rulez!  The other names were like “Anonymous men by the ladies toilet” and I forget the other two names.  But we were not the only American in the pub.  The questions were WAYYYYY hard!  Pop Culture, history… maybe I’m not as smart as I try to be.  The only question I could answer was “In this town in Kenya 15 children were born. on Nov 5th.  6 girls were named Michelle. What were the boys named.”  The others looked dumb struck but it was the easiest question and the only one I could answer.  BUT we won! First place!  Which meant we got a bottle of wine!  And I don’t drink wine, so I had water.  But it was still fun!  So this is our team, Biden Rulez!

FINALLY finished Financial Accounting homework.  Hopefully there will be a working printer at Uni tomorrow and I can get it printed off and handed in no problems.  I also have to turn in an overdue book.

Dane comes over every Tuesday and after chatting in my room for a bit about all my coursework, he said to bring along me pen and paper to Glass Works (our usual Tuesday night pub) and we’d get some ideas for my next 2000 word short story.  So we sat down and Dane asked what I wanted to write about and I don’t normally talk about what I’m writing or in the mood to write to people I’m close to.  I don’t want to sound dumb.  But after throwing an idea or two out there over a pint of Kopparberg, we started working on this story inside of a story about stereotypes.  Pretty much one day I was on the tube and these 5 strangers sat next to each other and I made up this idea in my mind, “What if the tube shut down, everyone vanished and only these 5 were left… and it was a movie.  who would be the hero, the heartthob, the first to be killed….”  and it led into then once the stereotypes in the story are established, they all come undone.  The Business Man who owns the world, actually got laid off.  The Religious looking girl, isn’t religious at all but is so respectful to her grandmother that she’s honoring Greek Orthodox tradition to mourn her death… I guess you’d have to read what I wrote to understand.  But we had a brilliant idea and had two more pints.  Came back to my room, chatted a bit more, and then I went straight to work typing! Tom came over not too much later and he stayed over till about 3 and we had our usual evening chat.  Thats always nice.

So today I saw Rain Man at the Apollo Theatre and that was really good!  Did some grocery shopping, cleaned my room, and wanting to go out and have some fun now!

Caitlin always gets Fish and Chips and I get Lamb Doner (Kebab)
SO YUMMY! My mouth waters looking at that picture.
It’s a shame we don’t have kebab stores in the US.
Or do we?

Stopped and got a sandwich at Pret a Manger today.  SO IN THE MOOD FOR CHRISTMAS NOW!  I ate their “Christmas Dinner Leftover” sandwich – Turkey, Cranberry Sause, Stuffing, a few other things that I  can’t remember.  SOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD! I can’t wait for the real thing at home!

And mom, I AM DYING for your cheesy vegetable casaroll!  I want that when I come home!  And possibly steak as well!  YUM!

So I guess that’s all I have for you right now.
